My function is to provide customized training to mantenance and engineering personnel in the following equipment:

Allen Bradley PLC-5, SLC-500, ControlLogix, AI, 6200, RSLogix, Panelview, Panelbuilder, Devicenet, and Ethernet. I have developed several classes for Hane Training, including an Online class over the internet. I also teach software products such as RSLogix, RSView, Linux, Windows, and Visual Basic.

Much of my time is devoted to working with power plants such as Kansas City Power and Light, American Electric Power, and Western Resources. I have trained hundreds of engineering and maintenance personnel on programming and troubleshooting systems such as slag blowers, barge unloaders, and demineralizer systems. I have also written software to help quickly locate the root cause of faults which will dramatically reduce downtime.

Other responsibilities include setting up and administering a local area network running Red Hat Linux as the server, web development, and projects which integrate Allen Bradley products with Unix based systems. This includes the user of BIND for DNS Resolution, MySQL for logging data through an ODBC connection, and using PHP with the Apache web server to display this data on the web.

My most recent project was development and delivery of a course on Common Controls Software (CCS-2) for General Motors (GM).

My job function was to provide technical support to customers over the telephone on Allen Bradley Automation products. I solved over 3500 cases. I also wrote newsletters, and helped to maintain the computer network by reformatting and configuring computers. I also wrote an automated program in Visual Basic that pulled information from the customer database, and faxed surveys to customers.

My main job function was to repair electrical and mechanical failures, and to perform preventative maintenance. We received some systems that were brought in over budget, and it was my responsibility to get the programs written for this equipment. I also provided training for maintenance personnel for the Allen Bradley SLC-500 processors using RSLogix 500 software. My job also consisted of installing and maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic systems in the plant.
